What Our Customers Say
Real reviews from real Texas homeowners
The WES technician performed the 6-month warranty service on my Generac Generator. He changed the oil, oil filter and air filter. He also checked the battery charge level and other electrical systems associated with the operation of the generator. After all maintenance was complete, he ran the generator to insure all systems performed as required. The technician completed all the work within 30-35 minutes. He was friendly, courteous and arrived on time as scheduled. After 4 years with WES, I am pleased with their electrical services provided.
I had my annual generator service done this month. I received a call to set the appointment and the technician showed up on time to complete the service. He was very professional and polite. The service took about 45 minutes. A slight negative, I had asked him to let me know when he was finished, he did not. I have used Wired on numerous occasions and they always do a great job!
Wired installed our new generator about a year ago. It’s electronically monitoring the generator works well. Recently the technician came out to do the one year maintenance and inspection. He was professional and efficient. We are very happy with Wired.

$100 off a whole-home surge protector. Free home electrical evaluation.
Lightning doesn't knock. A surge protector sits at your panel and takes the hit instead of your TV, fridge board, and AC board. And the evaluation is exactly what it sounds like: we walk your whole house and tell you what's wrong, free, even if you don't hire us.
Three steps. No runaround.
- You call. Phones open day and night. Tell us what's going on.
- We come out and look. Free estimate. We tell you what it takes and what it costs before we touch anything.
- We do the work and clean up. Permit pulled if it needs one, inspection scheduled, and we don't leave until it's right.
Signs you need an electrician in Houston
Most calls start with something small that does not go away. These are the ones worth a visit before they turn into a bigger repair.
Breakers that trip again and again
A breaker that trips once in a while after a storm is not unusual. A breaker that trips every time the microwave and the coffee maker run together is telling you something. The circuit may be overloaded, a device on it may be failing, or the breaker itself may be worn out. We find which one it is before we change anything. Resetting it over and over is not a fix, and it can hide a problem that gets worse.
Warm outlets, buzzing switches and flickering lights
Outlets and switch plates should never feel warm. Buzzing, crackling, or a faint burning smell usually points to a loose connection or a worn device. Lights that flicker when the AC kicks on can be normal in small doses, but frequent flickering across several rooms is a reason to call. If you smell burning or see scorch marks, turn the breaker off if it is safe to reach and call us right away.
Outlets that stopped working
A dead outlet is often a tripped GFCI somewhere else on the circuit, such as in a bathroom, the garage, or outside. Try pressing the reset button on nearby GFCI outlets first. If nothing comes back, or if the outlet works and then quits again, there is likely a loose wire in a box along the run. That is a quick find for an electrician with the right testers, and it is not something to chase with a screwdriver.
What happens on an electrical service visit
Here is how a typical visit goes, from the phone call to the finished repair, so you know what to expect before the truck shows up.
The phone call
Call any time. We ask what you are seeing, where in the house it is happening, and whether anything smells hot or looks burned. If it sounds dangerous, we tell you what to shut off while you wait. If you can, send a photo of the panel or the problem. It helps us bring the right parts the first time. Then we set a time that works for you.
Diagnosis and a written estimate
The electrician tests before guessing. That can mean checking voltage at outlets, looking inside the panel, and tracing the circuit to find where it fails. Once we know the cause, you get the options in writing, with what each one fixes. Nothing starts until you say yes. If a permit is needed, we tell you up front and we pull it.
The repair and the walkthrough
Our own crew does the work and cleans up after. When we finish, we show you what we found and what we changed, and we test the circuit with you there. If we noticed something else that needs attention later, we tell you, so you can plan for it. You decide what to do next. No pressure, just a clear picture of the system.
Electrical work built for Houston weather
Heat, humidity, lightning and hurricanes are hard on a home electrical system. A lot of our work around the Houston area comes back to the weather.
Summer heat and heavy AC load
Long summers mean the AC runs for months at a time. That puts steady load on the panel, the breakers and the connections that feed the condenser. Loose or undersized connections heat up over time. If your lights dim when the AC starts, or the AC breaker trips on hot afternoons, it is worth having the circuit and panel checked before the next heat wave.
Lightning, surges and outdoor equipment
Storms here bring a lot of lightning. Surges can damage electronics, appliances, pool equipment and the boards inside modern AC units. A whole house surge protector at the panel helps, along with plug-in protection for sensitive devices. We also check outdoor outlets, covers and GFCI protection, since rain and humidity find their way into anything that is not sealed well.
Hurricanes and long outages
After a hurricane or a winter storm, power can be out for days. We install Generac standby generators with a transfer switch, so the house switches over on its own. We also fix storm damage, such as torn meter cans, bent masts and flooded outlets. Our phones are open 24/7, and a person answers, which matters most when the whole neighborhood is dark.
One electrical contractor for the bigger projects
Many projects touch more than one part of the system. Planning them together saves you a second permit, a second visit and surprises later.
Panel, EV charger and generator together
An EV charger, a standby generator and a newer panel all draw on the same service. If you plan to add more than one, we look at the whole load at once. Sometimes the panel needs an upgrade first. Sometimes a load management device or a subpanel is the better answer. Doing it in the right order means one plan and fewer trips to the panel.
Remodels, additions and outdoor living
Kitchen remodels, garage conversions, patios and outdoor kitchens all need new circuits, lighting and outlets that meet current code. We work with you or your contractor on where things go, pull the permit, and handle the inspection. For the yard, we install AMP Lighting landscape lighting in warm white or AMP iQ color, with circuits sized for it. Planning the yard and the house together keeps the wiring tidy.
Electric water heaters and other swaps
We replace electric water heaters, including the breaker, wire and disconnect they need. We do not work on gas water heaters or gas lines, so if yours is gas, a plumber is the right call. We also handle ceiling fans, recessed lighting, smoke detectors, TV mounting and outlet upgrades. Ask about several small jobs at once, since one visit often covers them.

Electrical contractor
Residential, commercial and generator work under one license. We pull the permits and meet the inspector. Residential · Commercial.
Electrical repair
Dead outlets, tripping breakers, flickering lights, half the house out. We find the cause and fix it, day or night. Troubleshooting · Emergency electrician.
Ask us anything. These come up most.
Do you charge to come out?
Estimates are free. If it's a troubleshooting call, we tell you what the visit costs on the phone before the truck rolls, so there's no surprise at the door.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Licensed and insured electrical contractor, BBB A+, family-owned, serving Greater Houston since 2005. We pull our own permits.
Can you come today?
Often, yes. Same-day when the schedule allows, and 24/7 for emergencies. Call (713) 467-1125 and we will tell you straight.
Do you handle the permit and inspection?
Yes. Anything that needs a permit, we pull it, schedule the inspection, and meet the inspector. You don't deal with the county.
Do you offer electrical repair near me?
Yes. Our shop is in Tomball and we serve Houston and the area around it, 24/7. Call (713) 467-1125.
What areas do you serve?
We work across Houston and the surrounding areas from our shop in Tomball. That includes places like Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, Katy, Memorial, Fulshear and Conroe. If you are not sure we reach you, call (713) 467-1125 and ask.
Do you do residential and commercial electrical work?
Yes. We work in homes and in businesses such as offices, retail, restaurants, medical offices and warehouses. Commercial work can be scheduled around your hours.
Can I do my own electrical work?
Changing a light bulb or resetting a GFCI is fine. Anything inside the panel, new circuits, or work that needs a permit should be done by a licensed electrician. Mistakes can cause shocks or fires that show up months later, and they can create problems when you sell the house.
What should I have ready when I call?
Tell us what you are seeing, where it is happening, and when it started. A photo of the panel with the door open and a photo of the problem help a lot. If anything smells hot or looks burned, say so first.
Do you work on gas water heaters?
No. We install and repair electric water heaters only. For gas water heaters or gas lines, call a licensed plumber.
How long does a typical electrical repair take?
Many repairs, such as a bad outlet, switch or breaker, are done in the same visit once we find the cause. Larger jobs like a panel upgrade or a rewire need a permit and are scheduled. We tell you what to expect before we start.
Need an electrician?
Tell us what's going on and we'll tell you what it takes. No pressure, no runaround, and the estimate is free.
