Get Hurricane Ready: Install a Generator Early

As hurricane season approaches each year, the time to install is before the first storm forms. For Texas homeowners and business owners, that means one thing: it’s time to get prepared.

At Wired, we know how critical it is to keep the lights on and your essentials powered when severe weather hits. That’s why we keep the process simple. Permit timing depends on your city or county. The install itself is usually one day.

Why You Need to Act Now

Hurricane season officially begins on June 1st, but waiting until the first storm forms in the Gulf could leave you in the dark — literally. Demand for backup power solutions spikes with each named storm, often causing installation delays and product backorders.

By installing now, you:

✅ Beat the storm rush
✅ Have time for permits, inspections, and testing
✅ Gain peace of mind that you’ll be ready when the power grid goes down
