Generac 32kW Protector Standby Generator

Large estates, multi-AC, elevators, well pumps. Six-thousand-square-foot territory. Single-phase for the house, three-phase for the building.
Financing through Synchrony and others. How that works →

Generac Prestige DealerGenerac's highest dealer designation. We sell, install and service Generac home standby generators.
Generac generators$2,000 off a generator install. While supplies last.
It only comes off the units on our floor, so when they're gone, it's gone. New air-cooled Generac installs come with a free 10-year warranty, and financing is there if you want it. Permit timing depends on your city or county. The install itself is usually one day.
What a 32kW runs. Big houses, three ACs, 400-amp service.
Liquid-cooled power for the biggest houses and small businesses: three or more air conditioners, a pool, an outdoor kitchen, two panels.
- Three central AC units
- Two electrical panels on 400-amp service
- Pool pump, heater, outdoor kitchen
- Electric range, dryer, water heater
- Well pump, gates, EV charger, guest house
These are typical loads for this size with gas appliances and Houston-size air conditioning. Your panel, your AC tonnage and what you want on during an outage decide it. Five taps on the calculator gets you a recommended size; the free sizing visit makes it exact.
For the biggest houses, and buildings that need three-phase.
The top of what we call "home." Past this, you're on the commercial page, and that's fine. We do both.
Or a building on three-phase service.
Four ACs, elevator, well pump, pool, kitchen. Nothing turns off.
Senses the outage, starts itself, switches the house over. Hands it back when CenterPoint returns.
- Pick it if: the house is enormous, or the building runs on three-phase and needs 30-some kilowatts.
- Step up if: a clinic, a church, a strip center. The 40 and up are on the commercial side.
Not sure? Five taps on the calculator gets you a size, or call and we'll size it on the phone.
In plain English.
Generac's spec sheet has a lot of words on it. This is what they mean for you.
It turns itself on.
Power goes out, it senses it, starts, and switches everything over in about ten seconds. Power comes back, it hands it back. Nobody has to be there.
A car-style engine, built to run for days.
Liquid-cooled, like the engine in your truck. It runs cooler, quieter, and longer than an air-cooled unit, which is why this is what goes in when the load is big or the outage might be long.
Quieter than the size suggests.
A sound-attenuated enclosure and a slower-turning engine. Neighbors, patients, and diners notice less than you'd think.
It runs on natural gas or propane.
The gas line you already have, or a tank. No diesel deliveries, no fuel going stale.
Single-phase or three-phase.
We match the unit to the service your building already has. You don't need to know which. We look at the meter.
You can watch it from your phone.
Mobile Link app. Cellular built in with Wi-Fi backup. Status, run history, and service alerts from anywhere, and the servicing dealer can see faults early.

No price tag on the website. Here's why, and how to get your number.
The unit is only part of it. The gas run, the pad, the transfer switch, and your panel change the number from one house to the next, so a price on a web page would be wrong for most people. Getting the real one is quick.
